We’re into the final knockings of the transfer window, and there are still some big sagas that need to be resolved.

The likes of Ivan Toney and Federico Chiesa’s futures remain unresolved, but perhaps the biggest story of this window has been around Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian was tipped to leave Napoli this summer 12 months in advance, but, here we are, at the end of the window, and nothing has happened yet.

Arsenal are interested in Osimhen, and according to David Ornstein, speaking on the Sky Sports Back Pages Podcast, there could be movement on Osimhen before deadline day.

Victor Osimhen could make dramatic move

Ornstein shared what he knows about Osimhen.

“Well we don’t know how far the Saudi interest has gone or how credible it is but it seemingly doesn’t appeal to him. This is one we understand is going to go down to transfer deadline day and it will be one of those dramatic stories about where Victor Osimhen ends up,” Ornstein said.

“Chelsea retain an interest in him, but it’s about what form the deal may take. Who else? Maybe PSG, they had a strong interest in Osimhen before so that could be lively. He’s a box office name, a big time striker.”

Victor Osimhen could be the biggest story of deadline day

Every single year, there’s one massive story that emerges on deadline day.

Gareth Bale, Mesut Ozil, Enzo Fernandez and Fernando Torres have been at the centre of these stories in recent times, and this year, it could be Osimhen who makes the headlines.

The Nigerian’s future is very much undecided at this point but, as we all know, anything is possible until the clock strikes 11:00 on Friday.

There’s going to be plenty of twists and turns in a number of transfer sagas before the end of this week, and Osimhen’s future may well be the most intriguing situation that is yet to unfold heading into the final days of the window.

Arsenal could be ones to watch in this race.
