TBR Football understands that Arsenal are hopeful of sealing an agreement on the terms of a new contract with Bukayo Saka during the international break.

The Hale End academy star has been an important player since coming through the ranks and into the senior side.

That was underlined during Arsenal’s win over West Ham, when Bukayo Saka made his 200th appearance in the Premier League, followed up quickly by his 100th goal involvement.

Now, with the dust settling on an impressive display and some milestones reached, everyone is looking towards the future.

TBR Football understands Andrea Berta has talks booked in talks with Bukayo Saka’s representatives in the next week and hopes that they will finish the international break with an agreement over terms.

As we revealed, they made good progress during the last window with William Saliba and Saka – the Frenchman’s deal is confirmed, and now Saka is the club’s top priority.

Bukayo Saka is impressed with Arsenal’s ambitions as new contract talks are booked

Arsenal have been busy in recent months, with Andrea Berta pushing to ensure that the Gunners are the best they can be.

£250 million was spent by Arsenal over the summer transfer window, but that wasn’t all the sporting director has been up to.

He most recently sealed a new contract for William Saliba, while there have also been new deals for Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Gabriel Magalhaes.

With Bukayo Saka viewed as the latest who could get a fresh contract, there is an element of the player himself having to pick where his future lies.

A new deal seems most likely, as our chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, gave us some insight into how the player feels about the club at the moment.

He revealed: “I am told Saka is impressed by how the club have moved on with the squad, he feels they can now compete with anyone in Europe, not just as an 11 but as a squad.

“They are now confident the deal will be agreed, sooner rather than later and potentially within the next month. Broad agreement on the finances is already just about in place.”

With a potential new deal on the cards, Saka has already shown his worth to the team, and there is hope that he can continue to for the foreseeable future.

Bukayo Saka reveals Arsenal pride after smashing landmark moment

At just 24 years old, Saka has already shown just how good he can be for Arsenal, while there is even more potential for him to grow and improve further.

The England international has recently been hampered by injuries, but his return to form and his ability to find goals have started to shine again.

With two milestones reached, Saka has reflected on just how proud he is to continue with his impressive career at Arsenal so far.

He told the official Arsenal website: “There’s a lot to celebrate – a beautiful win, another goal and 200 [Premier League] appearances as well.

“So, happy days. I’m very proud, I don’t take these moments for granted, especially the last few months when I’ve had to miss games and watch from the stands as I’ve been injured. I’m going to enjoy it tonight and come back after the break ready to go again.

“I just want to give my best, give my best for my teammates and try and push this club to win.”

It shows just how committed Saka is to the cause, something he can prove once again if he agrees to a new contract in the coming days and weeks.
