Tottenham absolutely hammered Newcastle United today to get back to winning ways in front of their home fans and Chris Sutton was loving it.

A stunning performance in the final third led to Spurs simply overwhelming Newcastle and putting on quite a show in front of the Sky cameras.

For Ange Postecoglou, it was a big win as he stuck to his guns and saw his team come out firing to prove the doubters from the last few weeks wrong.

Much has been made of the Spurs boss being so attacking in recent games and losing out.

However, one of his biggest supporters has been former Celtic forward Chris Sutton. The BBC regular has stuck up for Ange constantly after seeing him dominate at Celtic Park.

And taking to social media just after the game today, Sutton has appeared to sarcastically mock those pundits who doubted ‘Ange Ball’.

Tottenham and Ange will be smiling into the night

Well, for those who did doubt Postecoglou’s plan, this was a firm kick in the you know what’s.

Postecoglou sent his team out with intent today and boy, did they deliver in abundance.

4-0 was probably the least Spurs deserved and on another day it might have been even more and more embarrassing for Newcastle.

Tottenham look the real deal in the final third when they are ticking and they were certainly ticking today.

As for Sutton, well, he simply loves Postecoglou and never misses a chance to get a good word in for him.

A lot of pundits have claimed Ange needs to change his tactics or rein it in a bit with some of his play.

But today showed that sticking to the plan works just fine and Tottenham fans will be delighted with what they’ve witnessed today.
