West Ham United have been very busy on the transfer front this summer, making eight new signings.
The Hammers hit the ground running upon the opening of the window as they wrapped up the signings of Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman.
West Ham then got three more signings done early in August, as Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug and Guido Rodriguez all joined.
The Hammers have since signed two more players, landing Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United.
Now, with 10 days left until the transfer window shuts, West Ham seem eager to get at least one more big signing over the line.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Hammers are now set for direct talks with a “dangerous” midfielder’s representatives.

West Ham set for talks with Carlos Soler’s camp
The player in question is Carlos Soler, who has had to make do with a squad rotation role at Paris Saint-Germain over the past 12 months.
L’Equipe previously reported that the Spaniard is a candidate to leave PSG this summer and West Ham were among those testing the waters for him.
Now, Romano has reported that the Hammers have made initial contact for Soler, and direct talks will follow in the next days with the player’s camp.
West Ham will also work on outgoings as priority, added the transfer insider.

Who is West Ham target Carlos Soler?
Carlos Soler is a 27-year-old midfielder who plies his trade for Paris Saint-Germain and represents Spain at international level.
He made a name for himself at Valencia, earning himself a £17million move to the French capital in 2022.
However, Soler hasn’t managed to cement a place in the starting XI and, as such, his future at the club is in doubt.
Soler’s style of play has been compared to that of Santi Cazorla and David Silva, both of whom previously dazzled in the Premier League.
Jaime Fernandez Valencia of Scouting outlet Breaking the Lines has described him as a ‘great passer’ who’s ‘sometimes even more dangerous than the strikers’.
Meanwhile, former Valencia youth coach Ruben Mora previously told their official club website: “He is very competitive and decisive in nearly every contribution.
“We changed his position because there was an injury to one of our players (Javi Pérez de Lucía) and we saw that Carlos was good at getting into the area, running in from the second line, and shooting.
“Out of 40 passes he attempted, 39 would be good. He understood the game and we saw him as a ‘Ruben Baraja’ in central midfield. It worked out well.”
