Leicester are reportedly considering a move to raid Manchester United and sign Jesse Lingard – if James Maddison departs. The England ace continues to be linked with Arsenal, in what could be a £60million move. Leicester are looking at Lingard – and West Ham fans have reacted on Twitter.

Maddison, 24, is a target for Arsenal after another excellent campaign in which the playmaker produced 21 goal involvements in 42 games. He helped Leicester win the FA Cup, and last weekend, the Community Shield. Leicester are in the Europa League, but Maddison could depart.

What are West Ham fans saying, as Leicester eye Lingard?

Reports suggest that Maddison is in favour of a move to North London despite recently becoming a Father. If such a move occurs – whether it is a straight up £60million move, or a player-plus-cash deal – Leicester have identified a replacement. Namely, Leicester will go after Lingard.

Lingard, 28, has reinvigorated his career after a loan spell at West Ham where he scored nine goals in 16. He also made five more. West Ham were keen on a permanent deal. Football London say Leicester are now intent on Lingard if Maddison goes, prompting reaction from West Ham fans.
