Ian Wright has said that Newcastle United attacker Miguel Almiron’s recent performances have really impressed him.
Speaking on the Kelly & Wrighty Show, Wright was waxing lyrical about Newcastle’s latest results.
Newcastle beat Brentford 5-1 at St. James’ Park, a result that sees Eddie Howe’s side sitting in the top six.
Almiron is enjoying his best season in a Newcastle shirt this season.
He’s already scored four league goals, and has started every match for the Magpies this campaign.

With Howe having to deal with a host of attacking injuries, Almiron’s consistency has been very welcome for the manager.
He added to his tally against Brentford at the weekend, capitalising on the visitors failing to clear their lines.
Chris Sutton has already said that Almiron looks like a ‘completely different player this season’.
Wright agrees, and has been really impressed by Almiron.
Wright impressed with Almiron this season
Speaking about Newcastle’s attackers, Wright said: “He himself (Howe) said about (Bruno) Guimaraes that we’ve had a result with him, simply because the money that they’ve paid and the player that they’ve got.
“And they’ve got a player like him, Allan Saint-Maximin coming back as well, Miggy Almiron playing unbelievably.
“It’s very much like now, they’re ready to go.
“They’re getting to the place now where, players will be looking and saying, ‘that looks like a cool place to go now’, that is what Newcastle are doing.”

Since arriving from the MLS in 2019, Almiron has become a fan favourite without ever setting the Premier League alight.
Howe and his coaches have concentrating on perfecting the basics with Almiron in training, and it appears to be paying off.
The Paraguayan international has formed a strong partnership with Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson.
It will be interesting to see how Howe fits Alexander Isak into the side once he’s fit.
Almiron will be hoping he can keep impressing the likes of Wright and well as Newcastle’s coaching staff to keep his place in the side.
