Marcus Rashford looked back to his best after scoring a sensational double for Barcelona in their Champions League victory against Newcastle.
Barcelona signed Rashford on loan from Manchester United during the summer and the forward opened his account for his new club with a brace at St James’ Park on Thursday night.
The 27-year-old was put on the transfer market after falling out with United head coach Ruben Amorim and the La Liga giants moved quickly, securing his dream move.
TBR Football exclusively reported that Barcelona now want to finalise the permanent signing of Rashford after his impressive start to life at the Nou Camp.
Troy Deeney has praised his performance on Tyneside and believes one major change from his time in the United doldrums has made all the difference.

Troy Deeney says ‘smiling’ Marcus Rashford is free at Barcelona
Speaking on talkSPORT, Deeney said: “The biggest part I could take from yesterday was the smile. He was smiling.
“How many interviews have we done where he’s miserable, and has got the weight of the world on his shoulders. He’s smiling.
“In that Barcelona system, dare I say he’s not the main man… they’re looking at Lamine Yamal, they’re looking at their homegrown players, they’re looking at Lewandowski, Raphinha, he can just do his job.”
Rashford certainly appeared unshackled and his brace single-handedly won the game for his new side.
He now has three goal contributions, having also picked up an assist against Valencia last weekend, and is showing glimpses of the devastating wing dynamo that burst onto the scene at Manchester United.
The next step is consistency, but his Barcelona team-mate Joan Garcia is already in awe of Rashford.

Marcus Rashford future update at Manchester United
Rashford will see out the rest of the season in Catalonia, forcing United to make a decision over his long-term future next summer. Barcelona, of course, have the option to sign him permanently for £26million.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, via GiveMeSport, the Red Devils are not currently weighing up whether they would welcome Rashford back to the fold under Amorim.
Writing in his newsletter, the journalist said: “At the moment there is nothing at all about this. Rashford is focused on Barcelona and Manchester United on their own players. There are zero future plans.”
If Rashford continues to dazzle, Barcelona would be foolish not to bring him in for good.
