Arsenal youngster Gabriel Martinelli has claimed that he’s willing to stay at Arsenal until the end of his career – just like his good pal Emile Smith Rowe.

The Brazilian joined the Gunners from Ituano as a teenager back in 2019, when Unai Emery was still at the helm. Martinelli needed no time to settle and hit the ground running.

He finished his first campaign in England with 10 goals and four assists in just 15 starts, which is truly a remarkable return for someone who played the previous season in the fourth-tier of Brazilian football.

Arsenal fans have high hopes for Martinelli and they’re all convinced that he’ll be a superstar soon. The Brazilian, labelled as ‘tremendous’ by Rio Ferdinand, has vowed to stay at the Emirates forever now.

Gabriel Martinelli makes the same claim as Emile Smith Rowe

Martinelli spoke to ESPN Brazil about his ambitions this week and he claimed that he wants to conquer everything at Arsenal – from now until the end of his career.

He said: “We always want more. Of course, Arsenal are a giant team. If I can, I’ll stay here my whole life. I want to conquer things, as I said, I want to stay here and win titles, with these wonderful fans, my teammates.”

Smith Rowe, another sensational Arsenal youngster, said the exact same thing after he signed a new contract back in October last year.

He told The Evening Standard: “If Arsenal want me for the rest of my career, then I am going to stay here forever. It is always difficult [to stay at one club for your career], but for me, personally, I’d love to be here forever.”

Arsenal fans should be buzzing

During the last few years of Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal career, the Gunners consistently lost their best players. Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor, Robin van Persie and Alexis Sanchez all left the Emirates and that really hurt the North Londoners.

Arsenal are developing a really good group of youngsters now and the last thing they need is to see them all walk away when they reach their prime years.

Smith Rowe and Martinelli have both vowed to stay at Arsenal for the rest of their careers now and Arsenal fans should be absolutely delighted with that.

The two youngsters, along with Bukayo Saka, could make Arsenal one of the best teams in the world in a few years’ time, and if the Gunners can keep them together, their chances of success will go up considerably.
