Tottenham transfer target has now flown to London
Arnaut Danjuma has now flown back to London for further talks over his future amid reported interest from Tottenham.
The Express report that Danjuma was granted permission by Villarreal last week to fly to the capital to try and sort out his future.
He then went back to Spain, training on Tuesday, although away from the rest of his team-mates and is now back in London.
Spurs have been linked with the Dutchman, but the report says that a number of other Premier League clubs are also keen.
Spurs target Danjuma is now in London
The report says that strugglers Everton, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth are all interested but there is no clear front-runner in the race yet.
Aston Villa were also linked last week, and that would make sense with Unai Emery, the man who brought Danjuma to Spain, now at Villa Park.
But Spurs could offer Danjuma Champions League football this season, rather than the prospect of playing in mid-table or lower.
Danjuma’s career sparked into life in Spain after a difficult time in the Premier League and in April, he told the Guardian he thinks he is among the best wingers in the world.
He said: “If we look at what I’ve done (in the 2012/22) season it’s quite fair and factual to say I’m among the best wingers in the world.
“To be the best you need to aim for more, and there’s so much I still want to achieve. I work with the striker coach on a daily basis. He sends me clips of every training session. I look into my movement, the way I run, how I pop the ball off.
“I look into my shape, where I stand in the formation. After the game we go through it and see there’s a lot of stuff I can do better.”
