Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a promising start to life under Thomas Frank in a 2-0 win against Reading.
Luka Vuskovic and Mohammed Kudus perhaps prevailed as the stars of the show for Tottenham, two players fans in N17 will be excited to see more of this season.
Thomas Frank set his first Spurs side up in a 4-2-3-1 and it was pertinent that both Destiny Udogie and Djed Spence were enjoying a lot of success overlapping on the flanks.
Tottenham fans were impressed by Will Lankshear too, and whilst Spurs will face tougher sides than Reading in the months to come, it was a promising start.
And aside from those on the pitch at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, Tottenham still have several players to return to the fold.
Richarlison makes key decision over his Tottenham future
Injured trio Dejan Kulusevski, Radu Dragusin and James Maddison were all missing, as was Brazilian striker Richarlison.
Richarlison has been linked with an Everton return this summer, a Tottenham player with a seemingly uncertain future under Frank.
However, The Guardian are now reporting that Richarlison is ‘keen’ on staying in north London.

Richarlison is currently plotting a careful return from some injury issues before he joins Spurs’ pre-season efforts.
And according to the report, it would take something ‘exceptional’ to arise in order for the Brazilian to consider a Tottenham exit.
Richarlison was crucial for Ange Postecoglou in last season’s Europa League final — he delivered a typically dogged performance on the biggest stage.
But perhaps it remains to be seen if the forward would consider a return to Everton as an ‘exceptional’ opportunity, should David Moyes’ side make a concerted bid.
Harry Kane thought there was more to come from Richarlison
It’s worth pointing out that Richarlison will be determined to play regularly for Spurs next term owing to the upcoming World Cup next summer.
Brazil’s striker spot is up for grabs, and Richarlison has previously led the line for Brazil at major tournaments.
Speaking back in July 2023, Harry Kane said it was ‘brilliant’ to have Richarlison at the club.
Richarlison had often been featuring from the bench in place of Kane at the time, leading the Spurs legend to say: “[It’s] brilliant to have him and he has to keep doing what he has been doing and help the team as much as possible.”
And perhaps in competition with Dominic Solanke next season, Richarlison can finally come good at Spurs.
Although, the Brazilian will need to dramatically improve his concerning injury record in order to do so — something that has been holding him back in N17.
