Tottenham have been linked with a move for Adrien Rabiot and he is very much someone the club are well aware of, according to Pete O’Rourke.
The journalist has been speaking to GiveMeSport about all things transfer related and believes Rabiot is someone Tottenham will be watching.
As we know, Tottenham like the look of Rabiot. Reports from Italy suggested recently that Spurs were indeed ready to press on with trying to sign the Frenchman.

And speaking to GiveMeSport, O’Rourke believes Rabiot signing for Spurs would very much be considered a marquee type signing.
“I think you’d have to say he would be a marquee signing. He could be a great signing for Tottenham, whether it’s in January or next summer, potentially on a free transfer when his contract runs out at Juventus,” O’Rourke said.
“We all know Tottenham and Juventus’ links between Conte and Paratici. So, they’ll be well aware of Adrien Rabiot. He came very close to joining Manchester United in the summer before that move fell through.”
Rabiot – branded ‘very elegant‘ by Hugo Lloris – has featured strongly for France in the World Cup this winter. At the time of writing, he was currently in action for the French against Poland.
Tottenham are expected to be active in January. After a busy summer, the club are ready to back Antonio Conte once again.
TBR’s View: Rabiot has shown Tottenham his class
There’s been periods where Rabiot hasn’t quite got it right in his career but lately, he is showing how good he can be.
He’s been in fine form in the World Cup and there is no doubt this is a player who improves things at Spurs. Rodrigo Bentancur has been a fine signing and Pierre Hojbjerg is solid. But Spurs need more quality in the middle if they really want to challenge.
Signing the French midfielder, then, especially on a free, seems a good idea.
