Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, and Hugo Lloris has just heaped praise on him.

Antonio Conte’s side are expected to be active in January, and a new midfielder is said to be on the Italian’s wish list. Spurs have been linked with a number of players over the last few weeks, including France star Rabiot, who will be a very interesting option.

Hugo Lloris hails Tottenham target Adrien Rabiot

CalcioMercato reported this week that Rabiot is a target for Spurs, who are battling their London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea for his signature.

The 27-year-old Frenchman is having a fine campaign at Juventus. He seems to have found his feet again, having scored five goals and provided two assists from central midfield in 16 appearances.

Rabiot’s fine form earned him a call-up to France’s World Cup squad as well. He caught the eye in their opener against Australia earlier this week with a fine goal.

Lloris, who has shared the dressing room with Rabiot on numerous occasions, has hailed his compatriot.

The Tottenham skipper said, as quoted by The Daily Mail: “There’s an opportunity for him at this World Cup. It’s arrived at the right time and he’s ready.

“Technically he’s a very elegant player and he really can help us go far.

“People have always talked about his ability and you can see how he’s been playing for Juve. He’s got the talent but also works incredibly hard, he covers a lot of ground.”

There has never been a debate about Rabiot’s talent and quality – he’s a fantastic player.

However, he just couldn’t get going at Juventus following his move from Paris Saint-Germain back in 2019. He looked nothing like the player he once was in the French capital, but this season, his fortunes have changed.

Rabiot has been brilliant, and it’s no surprise at all that he has been linked with a move to clubs like Tottenham and Chelsea. At 27 years of age, he’s in the prime of his career, and he could make a real difference wherever he ends up.

Tottenham have been linked with a move to sign Rabiot, and the fact that he will be a free agent at the end of this season makes him a very attractive option.
