Tottenham Hotspur are keen on doing a deal for Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso ahead of the summer window, and have made an approach to land the Italian – but it seems a tricky deal to do.
Ange Postecoglou has become renowned for being active in the transfer market and ensuring there is speed when it comes to making signings. Perhaps, that is why Spurs are being active as early as March.
Cambiaso, 24, is starring for Juventus this season. Largely playing as a wing-back, but more than able of doing it on both sides, the Italian has had a hand in seven goals in his 27 games for The Old Lady.
It comes after joining Juve from Genoa in the summer of 2022, before immediately going on loan to Bologna for 2022-23. Now, he is impressing at Juventus – and clubs are after his signature this summer.
Numero Diez state that Tottenham, Lyon and numerous Bundesliga clubs have made enquiries to sign Cambiaso. But, Juventus’ stance is firm – they will not entertain any interest, Cambiaso is not for sale.

Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the situation too, for a player that has impressed Milan legend Mauro Tassotti – who once said his ability with both feet is “similar to Paolo Maldini”. Very high praise, indeed.
Tottenham have shown interest in Cambiaso in the past, while Liverpool were linked last summer. The North Londoners do have options on the left side of the defence, but could do with some cover.
Ryan Sessegnon’s injury nightmare continues, while it remains to be seen if Postecoglou wants to keep Ben Davies as a squad player – and in turn, if Davies is happy to remain in that capacity at Tottenham.
