Tottenham Hotspur have tried to sign Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, but the Bundesliga champions have rejected their move.
Spurs have had a very good window. They’ve brought in Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin, but there is hope for at least one more addition today. However, Tel won’t be moving to Tottenham.

Tottenham have tried to sign Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel has been on Tottenham‘s radar for a while now.
When the two clubs were in talks for the transfer of Harry Kane in the summer, reports revealed that Spurs were interested in signing the talented young French striker.
However, Thomas Tuchel decided he wanted to keep Tel, and the £24 million (Goal) forward stayed at the Allianz Arena in the end.
Now, Sport Bild claim that Tottenham have tried their luck again. The outlet reveals that ‘Spurs are flirting heavily with the Frenchman’, and the North Londoners, along with Werder Bremen, asked Bayern about signing Tel on loan.
The German champions, however, rejected advances from both clubs and made it clear that he will not be leaving in the winter window.

A loan move in the summer, however, has been described as possible, but only if Bayern sign a new striker like Serhou Guirassy, who has also been linked with a move to Spurs.
Tel, still only 18, is a really exciting young player. He has scored six goals and provided three assists this season despite starting just four times in all competitions.
Tottenham hero Harry Kane, who is Bayern’s first-choice striker, is a fan of Tel. He has branded him as an ‘outstanding talent‘ already.
Defending Tel after he suffered abuse on social media, Kane said in August while speaking to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg: “Mathys is only 18 years old. He displayed a brilliant future ahead of him against Leipzig.
“He is an outstanding talent.”
