Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly held talks with Al Ittihad winger Jota over signing him in January.
Spurs look set for a busy transfer window as Ange Postecoglou bids to fill various gaps in his squad.
Signing a new centre-back seems to be Tottenham’s priority, with talks underway for the addition of Genoa’s Radu Dragusin.
Tottenham’s need for a new centre-back is well-documented following injuries to Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.
But Spurs remain in the market for a new attacking player and Postecoglou could turn to a familiar face in Jota. Indeed, 90 Min reports that Tottenham are confident of signing Jota on loan next month.

The Portuguese winger has made just 11 appearances for Al Ittihad this season after following Postecoglou out the door at Celtic over the summer.
Now, the Daily Mail claims that Spurs have already explored the possibility of landing Jota next month.
Tottenham have already held talks with Jota
The Mail claims that Spurs are in the market for a new forward player in January. It’s noted that Tottenham have already spoken to Jota ahead of a potential move.
Jota was a standout performer under Postecoglou during his spell at Celtic.
The 24-year-old starred off the left-hand side and was lauded as an ‘incredible’ talent during his time in Scotland.
Of course, bringing in Jota would make a lot of sense for Tottenham as he’s a player who’s already performed under Postecoglou’s guidance.

The winger is also out of favour in Saudi Arabia and looks set to move on next month.
Spurs have been without both Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon for the majority of the campaign, leaving Postecoglou short of options off the left-hand side.
If Tottenham can indeed snap up Jota on a short-term deal, it would provide them with quality depth in attack.
