Tottenham are looking to get their business done early in January and could have a new forward on the books as well as a new defender.
Spurs’ main priority is to get a defender brought into the club.
Reports have suggested that Radu Dragusin is the main target for the club right now, while Jean-Clair Todibo continues to be courted as well.
However, further forward, Ange Postecoglou is also looking to add to the ranks and according to 90Min, Tottenham are confident of signing former Celtic forward, Jota.
The Portuguese star has been linked with Spurs already and it now looks like a deal could get done.
Tottenham confident they can sign Jota
It’s claimed that Tottenham now feel they can get a deal for Jota over the line as they look to give Ange Postecoglou more options in January.
A loan deal for Jota is being pursued, with the idea of being turned into a permanent deal later down the line.
Of course, Postecoglou knows Jota well from his time with Celtic.

The 24-year-old has struggled since making the move to Saudi Arabia and his club, Al-Ittihad, are open to letting the winger go in January.
Tottenham have had a number of injuries this season while they’ll also lose players in January to the AFCON and Asia Cup.
Jota adds depth for Spurs
Tottenham’s relentless style of play under Postecoglou demands that they have options in the squad to make and impact and Jota could well give them that.
While it’s not worked out in Saudi for him, he showed with Celtic under Ange that he can indeed be a big player and produce big moments.
Lauded as an ‘incredible‘ talent during his time in Scotland, Jota would be a bargain capture for Spurs in their quest to strengthen.
Postecoglou has the likes of Kulusevski, Son and Brennan Johnson, but with Son off to the Asia Cup, signing Jota makes a lot of sense for the short-term at least.
