Tottenham Hotspur are ramping up their pursuit of Genoa’s Radu Dragusin and look set to make their first official bid imminently.

Spurs have been linked with a move for Dragusin for the past few weeks. The Romanian has emerged as a key target for the North Londoners. Further, his agent has even spoken of a desire for his client to get a move to England.

And according to The Mirror, it looks like Tottenham are the club set to make their move for Dragusin.

The Mirror claims that a £25m bid for the 21-year-old is on its way and that Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is more than happy with the decision to pursue Dragusin.

Postecoglou is thought to be keen to work with young players and sees Dragusin as someone who can play now and develop into the future.

Tottenham moving quickly to sign Radu Dragusin

Ange Postecoglou wanted his board to move quickly and it looks he is going to get his way on this one.

Radu Dragusin appears to be the player Spurs are settling on for now and it looks a smart signing.

Lauded by talent scout Jaceg Kulig as a ‘complete and dominant’ centre-half, there is plenty there for Spurs and Postecoglou to work with.

Crucially, Dragusin has already got big game experience under his belt from his time in Italy. Despite his age, he has played enough games to get that experience and should do well.

Tottenham have had success with players from Serie A recently. The likes of Kulusevski, Bentancur and Vicario have all done well, while in defence, Cristian Romero has shone.

There will be a confidence, then, that Dragusin can be the latest name to do the business having arrived from Italy.

The second half of the season will be big for Spurs. Somehow, they have kept themselves afloat in the race for the top four and with players coming back and new signings, they should get better.

Dragusin will fill a gap for now for Tottenham. But fans will be hoping he isn’t the last to sign.
