Chelsea have had another really poor season in the Premier League.

The Blues have spent an awful amount of money since Todd Boehly bought the club. They should be fighting for the top honours, but instead, they have become a mid-table side.

After 27 games in the Premier League, Chelsea are 11th in the table. European qualification looks like a distant dream now, and the pressure is mounting on Mauricio Pochettino‘s shoulders.

There could be plenty of changes in the summer transfer window, and it looks like Boehly and co have already made some decisions.

One player who has come under enormous criticism at Chelsea recently is Raheem Sterling. He even got booed by his own club’s fans recently.

The Englishman joined the Blues from Manchester City before the start of last season in a £50 million deal (BBC). A lot was expected of him, but he has struggled.

GiveMeSport have shared the latest on Sterling, and they claim that the 29-year-old is ‘almost certain to leave Chelsea’ once this season comes to a close.

It has been claimed Todd Boehly and Mauricio Pochettino are both ‘open to sanctioning his departure’ after the summer transfer window opens.

Raheem Sterling earns big money at Chelsea

Chelsea have spent a ridiculous amount of money since Todd Boehly arrived.

The Blues haven’t just gone big on transfer fees, but they’ve offered massive contracts to some of their stars as well. Raheem Sterling is one of them and he is Chelsea’s highest-paid player at the moment.

When the Londoners signed him from Manchester City, they offered the winger a five-year deal with wages of £325,000-a-week (Spotrac).

After over 18 months at the club, we think it’s safe to say that Sterling’s performances haven’t justified the money he is being paid.

That’s probably why Chelsea are ready to let him go this summer.
