Speaking to Sky Sports News, Vickery was asked about the Brazilian attacking midfielder.
Vickery explained that although Paqueta has some positive attributes, there was a potential issue with the Brazilian. “He’s a very, very classy player, he would be a wonderful asset to West Ham and to the Premier League.
“He has real left-footed class there, he’s an elegant attacking midfielder, and as you’ve been saying he’s so versatile.
“Although there is a problem there that he can sometimes give the ball away too close to goal because he’s showboating.
“This is the one potential problem with him, and it’s the reason I think that he’s available for a club like West Ham.
“He is a little bit petulant, there is a bit of a petulant schoolboy about him.
“So, it would be a challenge of man management for David Moyes, but the quality, the class that he could bring are very, very exciting indeed.”

Vickery delivers Paqueta verdict
Paqueta has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs this summer, but West Ham appears to be his most likely destination in England.
Tottenham were offered the opportunity to sign Paqueta this summer.
The Brazilian has also been in talks with Newcastle, but only West Ham have made a bid for the midfielder.
Their £34m offer has been rejected by Lyon, but the Hammers are expected to make a second bid.
Moyes would be likely to deploy Paqueta in a more advanced role, and his versatility in attacking areas suits West Ham’s style of play.

West Ham tend to have three attacking players sat behind a central striker, who play with fluid roles, switching wings or sitting centrally to make it difficult for defenders to mark them.
Paqueta being able to play through the middle or out wide would mean he suits this system well, but he’ll need to learn quickly when he can and can’t showcase his skills.
Moyes may need to be on his toes to make sure he gets the best out of Paqueta, and the verdict delivered by Vickery on the Brazilian definitely draws comparisons with a certain Dimitri Payet.
