Jose Enrique has urged Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to sign Arsenal star Bukayo Saka in the summer.

The young Englishman is undoubtedly one of the best young players in Europe today. He may even be the best in the Premier League, and fans of every club would love him in their side.

Saka, still only 20, has scored 10 goals and has provided five assists in all competitions this season. He has been brilliant for Arsenal this term and his performances are catching the eye of multiple top clubs.

Liverpool are reportedly one of them and Enrique wants the Reds to make a move for him this summer.

Jose Enrique: Bukayo Saka is the player Liverpool should go for

Saka’s brilliant performances in March for Arsenal earned him the PFA Fans’ Premier League Player of the Month Award this week.

The Arsenal youngster, branded as ‘extraordinary’ by Mikel Arteta, beat the likes of Harry Kane, Kai Havertz and Ivan Toney to win the accolade and we must say, he deserves it considering the level of his performances at such a young age.

Enrique reposted PFA’s announcement and urged Liverpool to make a move for Saka this summer if Arsenal fail to qualify for the Champions League.

“That’s the player we should go for, Reds, if they (Arsenal) don’t finish top-four,” he wrote in his Instagram Stories yesterday.

TBR View:

It really would be a no-brainer for Liverpool to sign Saka if he’s available this summer but there’s no way Arsenal will even consider selling him to a direct rival.

However, the young Englishman will enter the final two years of his contract this summer. That puts Arsenal in a weaker position in potential transfer negotiations, especially if they fail to qualify for the Champions League again.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Arsenal will definitely offer Saka a new deal in the coming months but if the 20-year-old turns it down, Liverpool and a number of other top clubs will be ready to pounce.
