'That's crazy to say': Pundit says Leeds United have a player in their ranks who could become ridiculously good

Pundit DaMarcus Beasley believes Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams is a serious talent after his World Cup performances.

Beasley was speaking on FOX’s World Cup Now, via the Daily Mail, and has been particularly impressed by the 23-year-old.

Leeds manager Jesse Marsch has a host of exciting, young talent to choose from at the club right now.

However, there may be some question marks over whether there’s enough experience to keep them in the Premier League.

The World Cup has given a number of Marsch’s squad an opportunity to impress on the biggest stage.

Danish defender Rasmus Kristensen knows his side need a win in their final game against Australia to progress.

He won’t be happy to have gone viral after their last match against France, after being sat down by Kylian Mbappe.

Leeds United’s American pair Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson also face a crunch game today.

They’ll know that a win against Iran guarantees their place in the knockout stages.

Speaking ahead of tonight’s match, Beasley was singing the praises of USA’s captain Adams.

He admitted that Adams is a serious talent, and believes he’s one of the best midfielders at the World Cup.

The 23-year-old was imperious against Wales, and has really impressed Ian Wright too.

Adams is a serious talent – Beasley

The American legend, who has over 125 international caps, had his say on the American captain.

“If you look at a player that shows his importance to a team the man is Tyler Adams,” Beasley said.

“What he does for the US team is incredible. The way he tracks back, the way he covers… watch his aggression, look at his heart.

“You can tell he wants to win. It doesn’t matter who gave up the ball he’s gonna yell at… if it’s Christian [Pulisic], if it’s [Brenden] Aaronson, [Tim] Weah, it doesn’t matter. He just wants to win.

“His ability to be able to know when to… play simple, play long balls.

“I think he has a very high ceiling and I think he is one of the best midfielders in this tournament. Not just with the national team, but in this tournament.”

Adams cost Leeds £20m in the summer when he joined from German side RB Leipzig.

He’s been ever-present for Marsch this season, and formed a fantastic partnership with Marc Roca.

Leeds fans would find it tough to disagree that Adams is a serious talent, and they’ll be hoping he’s a long-term fixture in the team.

And although Marsch would like to see the USA progress, he may be secretly hoping Adams is on his way back to Elland Road after tonight’s fixtures.
