Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey.
The news broke on Monday morning that Tottenham are among the clubs who have made their admiration for Ramsey ‘clear’.
Spurs will face competition from Bayern Munich, with the Bundesliga champions also keen on the Englishman.
Tottenham remain heavily linked with a move for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher but a fresh option has emerged in the form of Ramsey.

It’s been claimed that Aston Villa will have to make a sale before June due to profit and sustainability rules, which has alerted Tottenham when it comes to Ramsey.
And should Spurs match Villa’s demands of a fee worth over £50 million, Jamie Carragher is likely to be a huge fan of the move.
Carragher loves Tottenham target Ramsey
Carragher raved about Ramsey back in September 2022 after his display against Southampton.
The Liverpool legend admitted he’s a huge fan of the Villa Academy product.
“I love him,” Carragher said. “He’s a super player. He doesn’t look like a young kid playing in a man’s game.
“When you think of the game against Man City, I thought it was interesting that he played as part of the front three, and tonight he played in midfield,” Carragher said after the game.
“I spoke to Gary McAllister before the game, I said to him: ‘How good is Ramsey?’ And he said he can go right to the top. We’re talking about international honours and playing in the Champions League. I think he can certainly play at that level in the next couple of years.” as quoted by Birmingham Live.

Ramsey would be an exciting addition to Postecoglou’s squad after an impressive couple of years in the Midlands.
The 22-year-old has starred under Unai Emery and his qualities in midfield make him a good fit for Postecoglou’s system.
Indeed, the youngster possesses brilliant qualities on the ball and has even played as a forward player during his time at Villa. His tireless work-rate would also go down well with Postecoglou at Spurs.
Yet, it’s difficult to see Tottenham pulling off a deal for Ramsey mid-season, especially as Villa remain in the hunt for a top-four finish.
Barring a late surprise, this may be one that Tottenham revisit over the summer should their interest in Gallagher come to nothing.
