With just days remaining in the January transfer window, it seems Bayern Munich could now be interested in yet another Tottenham Hotspur target.

Both Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou have been working diligently to improve their Spurs squad of late, and have enjoyed a very productive month.

However, with just a short period of the window to go, it seems the club are not done just yet.

A deal for Antonio Nusa now seems to be one that got away – with Alasdair Gold explaining why he chose to join Brentford instead.

However, that disappointment may have sparked a move for Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey.

It was reported earlier this morning that Spurs hold considerable interest in the midfielder, perhaps with a view to a swift move or one in the summer.

And following those reports, it’s now been revealed that Bayern Munich are also interested in the Tottenham target.

Journalist Christian Falk shared the news on X, which is becoming a familiar story these days.

Spurs and Bayern spent the whole summer discussing a move for Harry Kane, and then turned competitors earlier this month for Radu Dragusin.

Whilst Postecoglou’s side won the race for Dragusin earlier this month – with the manager playing a pivotal role, they probably won’t welcome the competition once again.

German journalist Falk appeared to confirm David Ornstein’s earlier news on Ramsey’s interest, adding him to a list of Bayern targets.

He said: “Next Name on the list of FC Bayern for a midfield-player in Summer: Jacob Ramsey (22), Aston Villa (via David Ornstein).

“Also still in the Race: Martin Zubimendi (24), Real Sociedad San Sebastián.

“[And] Joao Palhinha (28), FC Fulham.”

Of course, it’s a pretty well put together shortlist, one that many clubs may hold for the summer.

But such is Tottenham’s pull under Postecoglou, they may consider that they can still sign another key target regardless of Bayern’s pursuit.

It does seem as if Bayern are more intent on a number six, whereas Spurs are looking to add to their attacking threat.

Ramsey would definitely fall into the latter category, a player who still has so much potential.

All that being said, Spurs look like they’ll have no luck in pursuit of one defender
