Sergio Reguilon likes Romano's Instagram claiming Spurs are close to finalising deal for international
Sergio Reguilon appears to have given Spurs’ push to sign Bryan Gil in a swap deal with Erik Lamela his backing, with the defender liking Fabrizio Romano’s post on the potential move on Instagram.
Tottenham appear to be ramping up their business in the window. The club look to be closing in on a deal for Pierluigi Gollini.
And it now seems that Gil is also on his way to North London. Romano tweeted on Tuesday that Spurs were finalising a swap deal with Sevilla.
Tottenham are set to pay around £21.7 million plus add-ons for the 20-year-old. Meanwhile, Lamela will move in the opposite direction.
It looks to be a real coup for Spurs. Lamela’s contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium expires next summer.
And while he has definitely shown flashes of brilliance during his time with the club, he has arguably never quite managed to live up to expectations.
Gil, on the other hand, looks to have a frightening amount of potential. He can play on either wing, or in a more central role.
Gil moving to North London would see the youngster reunited with Reguilon. The left-back spent a year on loan at Sevilla just before joining Spurs.
And it appears that Reguilon is delighted about the news.

It could arguably say a lot that Reguilon has liked the post. Obviously, the deal involves one of his current teammates leaving the club.
So it potentially highlights just how highly Reguilon rates his countryman that he does seem excited about a deal that does actually involve Lamela moving on.
