Arsenal currently boasts a tremendous squad, and one individual is consistently delivering quality that Roy Keane is no longer surprised.

Mikel Arteta has been putting together a tremendous squad for Arsenal, full of players capable of doing fantastic things, which is why they’re regularly celebrated.

Frank Lampard recently called Declan Rice “outstanding,” while Viktor Gyokeres has been praised for his start to the season.

With Arsenal having multiple players on international duty right now, there is an opportunity for many to showcase their skills elsewhere. However, there was one player who caught the eye of Keane, although he wasn’t shocked.

Roy Keane isn’t shocked by Bukayo Saka after historic England goal

Keane watched England’s latest performance on Thursday night while working as a pundit for ITV, witnessing Bukayo Saka score his latest Three Lions goal.

It was a historic goal for him too, as Saka ended an 87-year Arsenal record in the process, which even Ian Wright failed to beat.

Saka’s goal was his 13th for the Three Lions, moving him ahead of Cliff Bastin, who scored 12 for England between 1931 and 1938.

After the game, Keane spoke about the individual moment of brilliance from the Arsenal star on ITV, being impressed, but no longer shocked by what he sees from him.

“We’ve seen him doing this many times. Fantastic. Poor from Wales, giving Saka time like this. The quality gets his foot wrong with the pace. As soon as he left his foot, you know, he’s going to the back of the net.”

Keane was critical of Wales from a defensive perspective in how they allowed Saka to cut into the middle to unleash his strike, which

“We see brilliant players like Saka coming in. You’ve got to get somebody across. We see, he does this week in week out. We know he’s shooting or crossing it.

“So we can make a lot of excuses for the Welsh players who look like they’re shell-shocked.”

England went on to pick up a comfortable 3-0 win on the night, with all of the goals taking place in the opening 20 minutes after a frantic start from the Three Lions.

Bukayo Saka’s stats for England against Wales

Saka’s performance against Wales was his first for England since the June fixture against Senegal due to missing previous camps due to injury.

The Arsenal winger made his mark with it, instantly reminding Thomas Tuchel what he can bring to the team when he is fit and firing on all cylinders.

Saka impressed at Wembley Stadium not just with his goal, either. His overall performance was strong, as he caused problems for Wales throughout the night.

Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins also got on the scoresheet against Wales, but Saka’s was the pick of the bunch from a quality perspective.
