Bukayo Saka scored for England as the Three Lions took on Wales in a friendly, and the Arsenal winger made history for the club in the process.

After first-half strikes from Aston Villa duo Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins, Bukayo Saka struck for England’s esteemed new manager Thomas Tuchel’s side with a trademark left-footed worldie.

The Arsenal winger cut in from the right-hand side and, after neatly dribbling past a few defenders, cannoned one past Karl Darlow to make it 3-0 to England against Wales.

It was Saka’s 13th goal for the Three Lions, which means he’s broken a record as a Gunners star.

Bukayo Saka becomes Arsenal’s highest-ever scorer for England

Saka is now Arsenal’s highest-ever scorer for the England men’s national team.

His 13 goals move him ahead of Cliff Bastin, who scored 12 goals for the Three Lions between 1931 and 1938, a whopping 87 years ago.

At just 24 years old, this is a monumental feat – and the likelihood is there are many more to come from the Arsenal star.

Saka scores for fun at Arsenal, and his wand of a left foot works equally well for the Three Lions, which will delight and excite his manager ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Arsenal’s top scorers for England

Saka tops the list of an illustrious group of names, which includes Arsenal icons Ian Wright and Theo Walcott.

Saka will be looking to extend his goal tally as England take on Latvia on Tuesday evening in a World Cup qualification match.

That said, the Wales game has cemented his place in Three Lions – and indeed Gunners – folklore forever.
