Fabrizio Romano has told The Here We Go Podcast that Harry Kane is now ‘super happy’ at Tottenham Hotspur, and enjoying a very good relationship with Antonio Conte.
Kane, of course, goes into the January transfer window off the back of an eventful summer. For some time, it appeared that he was destined to leave with Manchester City keen on a transfer. There were plenty of reports at the time suggesting that the Tottenham talisman wanted to go.

Ultimately however, Kane ended up staying. He subsequently came in for a lot of criticism from Spurs supporters for suggesting that he felt that he dealt with the speculation well.
‘He feels that the situation has changed’
It did appear that the events of the summer may damage his relationship with fans beyond repair. And what has probably not helped is his lack of form in front of goal. His strike against Liverpool on Sunday was only his second in the Premier League this season.
There does however, appear to be a lot less speculation heading into January. Of course, the winter window seldom sees the most significant business done anyway.

But Romano has hinted that Kane staying at Tottenham for the long-term may have become a little more likely – thanks to the decision to appoint Conte as manager.
“I want to say that Harry Kane, now with Antonio Conte, is super happy,” he told The Here We Go Podcast. “He scored a goal, he feels that the situation has changed with Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici as director of football. So the atmosphere is very good. We will see what will happen in the summer.
“I don’t see Harry Kane leaving in January. The relationship with Conte is very good. They see each other as important for the future of the project.”
Kane finding happiness again at Tottenham highlights potential of ‘Conte effect’
Of course, Tottenham fans are dreaming of the signings they could be capable of making under Conte. Few managers have a better reputation worldwide right now.
But it also seems that the Conte effect may be about to help Spurs keep some of their best players. Obviously, it probably helps that few sides can afford Kane. So it does not take much for all possible avenues out of the club to be closed off.
But appointing Conte has sent out a big message about Tottenham’s ambitions. And Kane appears to be intrigued about where the Italian can take the club.
