A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to comments from Harry Kane in which he discussed speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City.

Kane upset a lot of Spurs supporters over the summer as it became apparent that he was determined to leave the club.

The striker conducted an interview with Gary Neville before last season had even concluded.

And, as noted by The Times, he failed to turn up to Tottenham training at the start of his pre-season. He was apparently fined by the club.

Of course, he would ultimately end up staying put. Unfortunately, his start to the season has hardly done him any favours as he attempts to win Spurs supporters back round.

He has only scored one Premier League goal. And his performances have hardly been the most impressive, particularly when you consider how good he had been at the start of last season.

Tottenham fans would be forgiven for thinking that the speculation has hurt Kane. But the forward seemingly does not see the situation that way.

The 28-year-old has now commented on the links with a move away. And interestingly, he suggested that he could be content with how he handled the situation.

“There was a lot of talk over the summer,” he said, as reported by the Evening Standard. “It is the first time in my career that has happened. That is part of being a big player, dealing with those situations and I think I dealt with it well.”

Understandably, the Tottenham fans were not best pleased to hear Kane’s take on the speculation.
