Liverpool are one of the clubs that want Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo this summer and now reports in Italy are suggesting that the Serie A side are willing to sell.
Zaniolo has long been considered a key player for the Rome club but now, Corriere Dello Sport claims that the Italian outfit are considering selling their prized asset for big money. They suggest that a fee of around £50m might be enough to tempt Roma into selling, with both Liverpool and Tottenham sniffing.
Reports back in February listed Zaniolo as a player of interest for the Reds. Tottenham, too, are also keen, with Antonio Conte knowing all about the midfielder from his time in Italy.

Zaniolo has been one of the stars of the show under Jose Mourinho this term. He has made 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven and assisting a further eight.
Liverpool are being linked with a number of midfield players ahead of this summer’s window. After losing Gini Wijnaldum last summer, the Reds never moved to replace him. They did, of course, sign Ibrahima Konate and Luis Diaz.
TBR’s View: Zaniolo Is A Brilliant Player Who Fits In At Liverpool
This would be an eye-catching capture should Liverpool pull it off. Zaniolo – who was lauded as a ‘genius‘ – is one of the best attacking midfield talents in Italy and he would certainly bring class to Liverpool.
He is still only 22 as well, but has plenty of experience under his belt already. He’s appeared more than 100 times for Roma and has made nine appearances for Italy. Proof enough that he is the real deal.
£50m is a big fee. But Liverpool have shown with Diaz and Konate that they aren’t scared to splash the cash when it comes to someone they really want.
