Robbie Fowler believes some of the talk around Liverpool so far this season has been “crazy”.
Arne Slot’s side look to be in the middle of a mini rut after losing their last three games before the international break, allowing Arsenal to overtake them at the Premier League summit.
Liverpool have also been guilty of relying on too many last-gasp goals to bail them out of trouble, and their results took a nosedive once those dried up.
However, Robbie Fowler is confident that the downturn in form is nothing to worry about.

Robbie Fowler on Liverpool’s poor form
“It’s crazy because we’re talking about a blip this early in the season, you know, and I do find it like sort of really strange and quite mad, really,” Fowler said on The Added Time podcast.
“I mean, Liverpool are sitting okay. Okay. They haven’t been brilliant, but it’s not all doom and gloom, is it?”
The title race remains firmly in the balance just seven games in, but Reds legend Jamie Carragher has tipped Arsenal as his favourites, believing they have a stronger squad.
This came despite the Reds winning their first five league games, admittedly after benefitting from late drama, and looking on course to canter to their second consecutive league crown.
A significant summer transfer spend and big-name recruitment only piled the expectations on further, though Carragher has been most concerned with Liverpool’s failure to control games.
He even predicted Slot’s heavyweights to be “five or six points” off the pace by the end of February.
Arne Slot on Liverpool’s run of defeats
Liverpool were stunned by a 96th-minute Chelsea winner in their last outing before the international break, while they also recently lost against Crystal Palace and Galatasaray.
The performances have led to questions over whether Slot is struggling to find the right balance in his team, and he admitted they are currently not doing enough to earn results.
“Another disappointing loss. That’s clear,” Slot said at Stamford Bridge.

“Another game similar to the Palace game, although the game was completely different because the playing style of both teams are completely different.
“But not similar to the Palace game where in the first half I think we played not our best football but still were able to create three big chances.
“They’ve only had one and they’ve immediately scored it, which was completely different to the Palace game, where Palace created a lot of chances in the first half.”
