Liverpool’s perfect start to the season has come crashing down, as Arne Slot has plenty to consider over the international break.
The Reds picked up five wins from their opening five Premier League games, getting them off to an ideal start in defending the title.
Despite those results, there have been concerns surrounding the manner in which they managed to get them.
Liverpool were scoring late in games to win them, which isn’t always a bad thing, but it did mean they were less in control.
Now, back-to-back late defeats to Crystal Palace and Chelsea have come back to bite Arne Slot at the worst time.
Those early frustrations have bubbled to the surface once again, and it has left Jamie Carragher especially annoyed.

Jamie Carragher left frustrated with Liverpool’s lack of control in games
With Liverpool’s recent struggles knocking them off the top of the Premier League table and in a position of uncertainty, plenty of questions are being asked about how the side will progress from here.
A huge summer transfer spend and some big-name signings have only piled the pressure and expectations on.
The prevailing factor for former defender Jamie Carragher, however, is the frustrating lack of control in games.
He said on The Overlap Fan Debate: “Liverpool were never in control of the game [against Chelsea], I felt after it went 1-1. You’re expecting to go and win the game, but never really in control.
“And even when he brought Endo on, I know it’s telling you to take a point, but it didn’t feel like anybody did go back and defend. Everyone was just running. It’s just like, that’s the thing that’s frustrating me.
“For a team who were champions and got such experience and the senior players and what they’ve won, not understanding that situation.”
It’s been a consistent theme of this Liverpool team so far, standing in stark contrast to the side that won the league last year.
That has certainly been reflected in the goals scored for and against them.

Liverpool’s goal times point towards their chaotic nature
There was a time when Liverpool played “Rock and Roll football” under Jurgen Klopp, which focused on pressing teams and causing them problems.
This current iteration may be further from his guidance, but just as chaotic as some of those years under him.
There have been 12 goals after the 80th minute in Liverpool’s ten matches so far this season, with Liverpool only winning by more than a one-goal margin once so far.
It underlines just how tough the Reds have found it to be in control of matches and the game state.
While they can win plenty of games late on, they will want them wrapped up and sorted before it even reaches that point, something they did so well last season.
