Tottenham Hotspur continued their impressive home form with a 2-0 win against Everton on Saturday.

Antonio Conte was forced into an early change in the second-half, with forward Richarlison coming off injured.

A report from Football London has recalled what his replacement Yves Bissouma was doing in the tunnel at full-time.

The Malian international slotted into midfield alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur.

Bissouma gave his midfield partners more freedom to play further up the pitch and it certainly helped Spurs.

Hojbjerg even added his name to the score sheet for the third time this season in the closing moments.

After the match, Bissouma was seen celebrating in the tunnel, and he had every reason to be pleased.

RIcharlison’s injury and Dejan Kulusevski’s current absence could give Bissouma the extended run in the team he’s been wanting his arriving from Brighton.

The Football London report from Alasdair Gold provides more details on Bissouma’s post-match reaction.

“It was a performance that ticked every box Conte had asked for and you can see the summer arrival (Bissouma) feeling part of the team,” Gold wrote.

“He leapt on to the back of Hojbjerg as he celebrated with Bentancur after his goal and as he walked down the tunnel Bissouma made a point of coming over to the club’s social media camera and said: “Come on, yes! Three points.”

Bissouma’s excited reaction was wholly justified after his performance.

Sky Sports commentator Don Goodman was seriously impressed with the impact Bissouma made off the bench.

Conte admitted last month that Tottenham were trying to ‘accelerate’ Bissouma’s understanding of his tactics.

He certainly appears to have done that judging from his performance on Saturday.

Everton failed to have a single shot when Bissouma was on the pitch.

His positioning meant Everton were thwarted through the middle of the pitch, while Spurs could be more progressive around him.

It’s no wonder Bissouma was celebrating in the tunnel at the end of the match.
