Club Brugge midfielder Hans Vanaken really wants to join West Ham United this summer, and could reject a new contract in order to make the move.
West Ham wanted to sign Vanaken back in 2020, however Club Brugge managed to keep hold of the midfielder by offering him a new contract.

The Belgian side plan to use the same tactic again, but Vanaken is now holding off on accepting a new offer, instead hoping the Hammers will make an improved bid.
Vanaken seems set on a move to the Premier League, and at 29 years old, may not have many more opportunities to do so if this transfer window passes him by.
Vanaken really wants to join West Ham
West Ham have already strengthened in the centre of the park this summer, bringing in Swansea City midfielder Flynn Downes.
Moyes has also finally got his man at the back, with Thilo Kehrer coming in to solve their defensive injury crisis and replace Issa Diop.

However, Vanaken presents himself as a more immediate first team option, and has been one of the standout players in the Belgian Pro League over the last few years.
Vanaken has provided 50 goal contributions since the start of the 2019/20 season, a seriously impressive number for a player who tends to spend as much time in his own half as he does in attacking areas.
Aside from a spell at PSV Eindhoven as a youth player, Vanaken has spent his entire career in Belgium, and it’s no surprise that now West Ham have come calling, Vanaken finally wants to see what he can do in one of Europe’s top leagues.
