Fabrizio Romano has claimed that West Ham United are closing in on the signing of Thilo Kehrer.
The transfer insider says the Paris Saint-Germain defender will be in London in the next hours.
Kehrer will undergo a medical at West Ham “this week”, Romano added on Twitter.
There had been some conflicting information regarding West Ham and Kehrer in recent days.
Reports emerged in Germany over the weekend suggesting that the Hammers were struggling to convince him to move to the London Stadium.
And just morning, Estadio Deportivo reported that Sevilla had an agreement in place with the PSG defender.
But now, both Romano and Sky Sports have reported that West Ham are closing in on Kehrer after all.
Indeed, the latter have suggested that the 25-year-old has already arrived in London.
Sky Sports also claim that West Ham are hopeful of completing the deal in time for Kehrer to be available for Thursday night’s Europa Conference League qualifier against Viborg.

The Hammers desperately need to bolster their defensive ranks in wake of a poor start to the new season.
David Moyes has had just one senior centre-back available for the first two matches of the new top-flight campaign.
Nayef Aguerd is currently sidelined after undergoing surgery on an ankle issue suffered in pre-season.
Meanwhile, Craig Dawson has been missing with a thigh problem and Angelo Ogbonna is still working his way back to fitness after a long-term ACL injury.
But now, Moyes seems close to getting his man.
