Report: West Ham ready to offer ‘outstanding’ player big pay rise, move not ruled out yet

West Ham United have been heavily linked with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic over the past week and 90 Min reports that the club are ready to offer the player a big pay rise

David Moyes has received backing from the Hammers board so far this summer as they’ve added four players to his squad.

Most recently, the club announced the signing of Gianluca Scamacca on Tuesday and the player shares the same agent with Kostic

Now, it seems that West Ham are ready to offer the ‘outstanding’ Kostic big money to move to East London.

West Ham ready to offer Kostic big pay rise

90 Min reports that Frankfurt do not want to sell Kostic but have not ruled out the possibility, especially if the player pushes to join West Ham

The 29-year-old could get a big pay rise if he heads to East London this summer as he would be swapping Champions League football for the Europa Conference League.

Talks are ongoing between Frankfurt and West Ham but 90 Min states that Moyes’ side are short of the Bundesliga club’s valuation at this moment in time.

But there is hope that the Hammers can convince Kostic to make the move, especially after signing Scamacca this week, who shares the same agent.

West Ham pushing to sign Kostic

Earlier this week, journalist Dean Jones told GiveMeSport that West Ham had performed a U-turn and really moved forward in their attempts to sign the Serbian wing-back.

Now it seems that the Hammers are even willing to offer the player big money in order to convince him to make the switch.

Moyes is clearly convinced that Kostic can be a great addition to his side and having faced off against him in the Europa League semi-final, the Scotsman will know exactly what the Serbian can offer.

The Frankfurt wing-back was brilliant for the Bundesliga side last season and was a big part of their Europa League win. Kostic scored three goals and provided six assists in the competition and provides a real attacking threat from wing-back.

West Ham will hope that a big pay rise can convince the player to give up Champions League football as the player would certainly help Moyes’ side push towards that goal themselves.
