Tottenham have certainly strengthened their squad this summer, with six new players brought in, and a seventh on the way shortly.

The focus now for Antonio Conte’s side will be to find new clubs for members of the squad who are no longer part of his plans.
Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks have all been told they can leave the club and are no longer training with the first team.
This is different to Gil’s situation with Conte still including the 21-year-old in the first team, although a loan now looks to be a likely option for the Spaniard.
Gil could leave Tottenham on loan
Gil’s Tottenham career up to this point has been one observed from a distance by many Spurs fans.
Signed from Sevilla in a player-plus-cash deal last summer, with Erik Lamela going the other way, Gil then spent six months struggling to make an impact at the club before being sent on loan to Valencia.

It was Lamela who said that Gil had ‘great potential’, and Valencia fans were chanting for the young Spaniard to stay at the end of last season.
Gil made eight appearances in all competitions for Tottenham before his loan move, but most of those were from the bench, and he failed to score a goal an provided just one assist in that time.
If the Evening Standard’s report is to be believed, Valencia fans may get their wish of another season of Gil, and Tottenham fans will have to wait a little longer to see the under-21 international fulfil his potential.
