Tottenham Hotspur have rejected a £13.5 million bid from Nottingham Forest for Japhet Tanganga, but Tuttomercatoweb reports that Steve Cooper’s men plan to make an improved offer.
Tanganga is attracting plenty of interest ahead of the final days of the window. The 23-year-old is yet to feature for Antonio Conte’s men so far this season.

Several sides want the defender. Reports earlier in the summer that he had rejected a number of clubs as he was desperate to join AC Milan.
Meanwhile, it was claimed earlier this week that Leeds, Newcastle and Everton also want Tanganga. But it seems that another Premier League side have made the biggest move yet.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Forest have made a £13.5 million bid for Tanganga. Tottenham have rejected the offer. But the newly-promoted side are not planning to throw in the towel.
The report suggests that an improved bid is being prepared. Spurs want £16.9 million for the youngster. And Forest are determined to sign him permanently.
Tottenham have rejected Tanganga bid
It does appear that the two clubs are not too far apart in their valuations of Tanganga. So it may not be a huge surprise if they do manage to agree a deal in the coming days.
Forest have been the busiest side in the Premier League. They have brought in a number of new signings. But they needed to. And actually, they probably need a couple more.
New addition Moussa Niakhate is facing a spell on the sidelines due to injury. And with that, Forest are actually a little light at centre-back.
Tanganga is an ‘amazing‘ talent. And he can play in a number of roles. So he would definitely be a superb signing for Cooper.
With a first bid reportedly going in, it is definitely a situation to keep monitoring.
