Report: Tottenham ready to start talks over Nikola Milenkovic

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to enter into negotiations to sign Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, according to a report from CorrierePL.

Milenkovic appears to have been linked with a Premier League move for some time. West Ham looked to make a big play for the Serbia international in the summer. Meanwhile, it was reported last month that Spurs had reignited their interest.

The 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season. So it would be no surprise to see a lot of speculation surrounding his future linger over the coming weeks.

Certainly, he is reportedly attracting a lot of attention. CorrierePT reports that Manchester United and Juventus are both interested in the centre-back.

But Tottenham appear set to try and steal a march on their rivals for his signature. The report claims that Antonio Conte’s men are closely following the defender.

In fact, it is suggested that they are ready to enter into talks with I Viola.

His contract is running down. And Fiorentina will be wary of his value dropping further. So they may be open to discussions. And a move may ultimately prove to be best for all parties.
