Tottenham are looking to build under Antonio Conte and reports from Italy this weekend suggest that Fiorentina defender, Nikola Milenkovic, remains a target for the club.
Spurs are expected to back Conte in both January and the summer. It comes as Daniel Levy took the decision to sack Nuno Santo early on after a dismal run of form.
The club are looking at a number of players, according to various reports in recent days. Players like Marcelo Brozovic, Dusan Vlahovic, and Milan Skriniar have all been linked.

And now, according to Calciomercato, Tottenham are still keeping their eye on Milenkovic from Fiorentina. Friday night’s report from CM suggests that Spurs, along with West Ham, are keen on the defender.
Milenkovic was on the radar of Spurs and Fabio Paratici in the summer. At that time, it was claimed the Serbian could be available for around the £22m mark. The defender’s contract is due to expire in 2023.
Tottenham have seen some success in bringing players in from Serie A already. The addition of Cristian Romero has been well received in North London.
TBR’s View: Milenkovic a good fit for Tottenham under Conte
There is no doubt that Spurs need to back Conte. And when they do back him, it needs to be with ready-made players who can improve this Tottenham XI and squad. Milenkovic, you’d assume, would do that.
The Serbian has been super impressive ever since being a regular for La Viola. He was branded ‘incredible’ from a young age, and has improved over time.
Milenkovic, 24, has started 11 from 12 games this season in Serie A. In total. the defender is approaching the 150 game mark with Fiorentina. If the price remains around the £22m mentioned before, then Spurs would be wise to make their move here.
After all, a replacement for players like Eric Dier, is surely top of the shopping list for Antonio Conte.
