West Ham are set to be able to announce a deal for Nikola Milenkovic imminently, with Tuttomercatoweb reporting that he will have said goodbye to Fiorentina by tomorrow at the latest.

Milenkovic looks to be on the verge of becoming West Ham’s first marquee permanent addition of the summer.

It was recently claimed that the Serie A side valued the 23-year-old at around £22 million. But according to Sky Sports, the Irons are set to pay £14 million for the Serbian.

And it appears that the fans may not need to wait much longer for an announcement.

According to Tuttomercatoweb in Italy, Milenkovic is virtually a West Ham player now. And it is claimed that he should say goodbye to Fiorentina by tomorrow at the latest.

Much-needed boost for West Ham to land Milenkovic ahead of new season

On the pitch, David Moyes’s side have enjoyed a brilliant pre-season. They have won their last five. And they are unbeaten over the summer.

However, the lack of notable signings is causing concern. West Ham have a brilliant opportunity this season. They have qualified for the Europa League group-stages.

The fans want the club to capitalise on last year’s success.

It is quite late. But a deal for Milenkovic is a step in the right direction. It could be an incredibly shrewd piece of business.

Milenkovic is a youngster with plenty of time to improve further. And West Ham fans will hope that his arrival sparks a few more deals.
