Mauricio Pochettino has marked Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as his top target to replace Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain, per the Express.
Kane is still looking to secure a move away from north London this summer amid interest from Manchester City. But Daniel Levy will only let the England captain leave if clubs are willing to meet his £150million asking price.
PSG are likely one of the few clubs in Europe who would be able to afford a deal for Kane. And they could make a move if Mbappe elects against signing a new contract at Le Parc des Princes.

Mbappe is out of contract next year, but PSG will only listen to offers if they can sign a world-class replacement. Liverpool are one of the clubs interested in the Frenchman, as Jurgen Klopp longs for a better option at striker.
Klopp believes Mbappe is the ideal choice as his profile perfectly suits their attacking style. However, the Reds’ bid may hinge on Tottenham selling Kane to PSG after Pochettino marked the forward as his preferred replacement.
PSG had already shown an interest in Kane this summer amid the uncertainty surrounding his future at Spurs. 90min claimed recently that the Ligue 1 giants are becoming increasingly keen and that he would consider a move abroad.
TBR’s view: Failed manager hunt could cost Tottenham Kane
Tottenham may pay the price for a bungled manager search if Pochettino and Kane reunite at PSG this summer. Levy and Fabio Paratici are still on the hunt for Jose Mourinho’s successor after a string of options fell through.
Pochettino was previously in the running for a return to north London and remains a favourite of some Spurs figures. But PSG are showing no signs of letting the Argentine leave, which could be the only way Kane stays at the club.
It is hardly surprising that Pochettino wants Kane to join him at PSG after their time together at Tottenham. The ex-Spurs boss claimed, via The Guardian, in 2017 that the striker ‘has something special’ that made him ‘one of the best’.
But Levy hiring Pochettino as the next Tottenham manager could take a PSG exit route off the table for Kane. Although interest from Man City would still pose a threat for retaining the 2020/21 Premier League Golden Boot winner.
