Tottenham Hotspur lead the race to sign Pervis Estupinan with Villarreal making the left-back available this summer, according to a report from Marca.
Spurs look set to be involved in plenty of talks with the Yellow Submarine in the coming months. Of course, Giovani Lo Celso spent the second-half of last season on loan in La Liga.

Marca reports that everyone at El Madrigal loves Lo Celso. So there are likely to be attempts to keep him.
Reports had claimed that there had been talks the Argentinian may move in a swap deal involving Pau Torres. Tottenham have apparently made a £43 million bid for the centre-back.

But he is not the only Villarreal player Spurs want. Marca reports that Tottenham are the main contenders to sign Estupinan.
The Champions League semi-finalists have made the 24-year-old available.

Tottenham lead Estupinan race
Estupinan spent four years on the books at Watford before he joined Villarreal. However, he never managed to make his debut for the Hornets, instead spending his time out on loan at various clubs.
He made 41 appearances in all competitions this past season. However, he was not always a regular starter under Unai Emery.
Tottenham’s interest is perhaps something of a surprise. They have already signed Ivan Perisic. It is expected that the Croatian will battle with Ryan Sessegnon for the left wing-back spot.
There are questions over Sergio Reguilon’s future. But Antonio Conte arguably has enough depth available to him, even if he leaves.
Interestingly, Estupinan actually made the 2021 Copa America Team of the Tournament alongside Cristian Romero. So he certainly possesses plenty of quality.
It seems that they may well be teammates in North London next season.
