Tottenham could sell Matt Doherty this summer despite his superb form in recent months, but the London Evening Standard reports that he is enjoying playing for the club.
Doherty has had a fascinating time at Spurs. For much of his spell, it appeared that he was destined to prove to be a flop of a signing as he struggled under the likes of Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espírito Santo.

His problems under Nuno appeared particularly ominous. Of course, the pair enjoyed a lot of success together at Wolves.
However, much has changed for the Republic of Ireland international. His comeback started with an amazing cameo at Leicester City back in January. And he has been outstanding since, with Conte lauding his improvement.

In fact, it appeared to be a massive blow when it was confirmed that injury would rule Doherty out for the season following Tottenham’s win at Aston Villa.
He looked to have done enough to earn a place in Conte’s plans next season. However, that may not prove to be the case after all.
According to the London Evening Standard, Tottenham could sell Doherty. It is suggested however, that he is enjoying playing for Spurs.
Tottenham could sell Matt Doherty
It probably makes sense for Tottenham to keep their options open. Emerson Royal may not attract the kind of offers they are looking for after a poor first year with Spurs.
And it seems highly likely that Tottenham will sign a new first-choice wing-back. So if Doherty does attract a substantial bid, Spurs would be wise to consider it.
But it would be a shame if he did leave. He has been labelled ‘tremendous‘ in this recent run. So it would be disappointing if he moved on now that everything seems to be clicking.
