Report: Tottenham continuing to monitor Anthony Gordon this summer
Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to monitor the situation of Anthony Gordon, with Football London reporting that the Everton starlet is understood to be interested in playing under Antonio Conte.
Spurs fans would have been forgiven for thinking that the club had put a pin in their pursuit of Gordon. Reports earlier this summer claimed that they even made a £100 million bid for him and Richarlison.
They have since landed Richarlison. And they now appear to be well-stocked for options in the final third. Certainly, it is some of their Premier League rivals who appear to be making the biggest play for Gordon right now.
Chelsea have made a £45 million bid in the last week. Meanwhile, Newcastle are also admirers of the 21-year-old as Eddie Howe looks to finally land an attacking player this summer.
There have even been reports recently that Pep Guardiola is a fan of Gordon.
But Tottenham’s interest from earlier in the summer has actually not gone away. According to Football London, Spurs remain keen on signing Gordon.
They are continuing to monitor the attacking midfielder. And Gordon has an interest in working with Conte and playing in the Champions League. He is however, not prepared to push for a move away from Everton.

Football London notes that Antonio Conte expects Tottenham to sign a replacement should they sell a first-team player in the remaining days of the transfer window.
And there is a chance that Bryan Gil could yet leave.
Conte is going to want someone who can make an impact in his side if Gil leaves. And with that, perhaps it should not be a huge surprise if Tottenham make one final move for Gordon.
And it would be a real statement if Spurs could now round off a brilliant window by beating the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle to his signature.
