Any lingering hopes Spurs might have had about signing Paulo Dybala seem to be at an end, with Juventus set to offer fresh terms to the forward.
Spurs have been linked with the Argentinian star in recent months. Reports at the end of March and into May claimed Juve wanted Dybala out of the door.

However, there seems to have been a change of heart. Tuttomercatoweb now claim that a meeting is set to discuss a new contract for Dybala. That, of course, would complete a big u-turn for both the player and Juventus.
It’s suggested a meeting will take place early next week to thrash out terms on any new contract. Dybala, 27, sees his current deal expire next summer.
Spurs wanted to sign Dybala as a marquee signing and with Fabio Paratici’s arrival, there was an increased likelihood of the deal being revisited.
But with Dybala now set for fresh terms, all could be lost for Spurs. Further, the club have moved on to other targets for now. Mikel Damsgaard is in their sights, while Pierluigi Gollini is due to sign shortly.
Tough deal
Signing Dybala was always going to be a tricky one for Spurs, and any club, to be honest.
He’s on big money in Turin and he’s also valued highly. Even in the final year of his deal, Juventus would have demanded a hefty fee.
In fairness to Spurs and Paratici, they have identified other players now as well. So while Dybala was always going to be a nice to have, the reality is that there are others out there who hold good value.
Time, then, for everyone to move on.
