Spurs are motoring on with their summer business it seems and are now ready to make an official approach for Sampdoria star, Mikel Damsgaard.

That’s according to Italian outlet Calcio In Pillole, who claim Spurs and Fabio Paratici are about to come calling with a 25m Euro (£21.3m) bid.

Damsgaard emerged as one of the stars of Euro 2020 for Denmark. He scored a stunning free-kick against England, building on what was already an excellent tournament for the youngster.

The Sampdoria star stepped up to the plate after Christian Eriksen’s frightening collapse in Denmark’s opener.

Spurs want to sign Damsgaard as Fabio Paratici gets to work on new signings, namely from Serie A. However, Calco In Pillolo state that it could take close to 30m Euros for Sampdoria to blink.

Paratici is close to completing a deal for Pierluigi Gollini, while Cristian Romero from Atalanta is also on the radar.

Talent

Mikel Damsgaard is one of the top young talents in Europe. The Euros just cemented that thought process, and he produced the goods.

A move away from Sampdoria is inevitable to be honest. And at less than £30m, it does feel like a chance Spurs can’t afford to pass up.

Damsgaard brings goals, assists, and excitement for fans. He doesn’t shirk trying to beat a man, and if Nuno Santo wants to get Tottenham supporters off their feet, then Damsgaard will help.

In terms of value for money, this is simply too good a deal for Tottenham not to pursue. Paratici, then, will hope to work his magic again.

With Liverpool and Everton also keen, it’s important that Spurs act quickly.
