Italian website CalcioMercato have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are ‘really trying’ to sign Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala this summer, with image rights no longer a problem – and the Italian champions are desperate to sell the Argentine.
Dybala, 27, has earned legendary status at Juventus over the last six years – clocking up 244 appearances for the Old Lady, a figure he is expected to turn into 250 before the end of the season. However, he is set to enter the last year of his contract.
Recent reports have claimed that Tottenham have been offered Dybala, while the latest report states that Tottenham are pushing to sign the Argentine and Juventus want to sell him. It is a player that Daniel Levy came close to signing in the summer of 2019.
Image rights scuppered a move two years ago, but that will not be an issue this time – as per the report. Spurs might find they have competition from Arsenal with SPORT suggesting the Gunners could sign Dybala if they fail to re-sign Odegaard.

TBR’s view – Dybala takes Tottenham into the title race
Right now, Spurs are in a transition period and they sit on the verge of breaking into the top-four places of the Premier League. With Dybala behind an attack that also includes Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and potentially Gareth Bale, they are in a title race.
Can Spurs afford Dybala? Well, his price tag will be reduced somewhat with this summer representing the last chance Juventus have of selling him for cash. The report claims image rights won’t be an issue. So, wages will be the only stumbling block.
Marca say he is rated at £47million.
