Newcastle United know that a positive January transfer window could cement their best Premier League finish in years.
Eddie Howe’s side will go into the World Cup break in the top four after a brilliant run of results.
Given their current form, it’s hard to see where Newcastle may want to improve their squad.
They currently have the best defence in the league, thanks in part to new signings Sven Botman and Nick Pope.
In attack, Callum Wilson’s return from injury has been so successful, that he’s earned his first England call-up in three years.

The form of Miguel Almiron also can’t be ignored, after he won the Premier League Player of the Month award for October.
The report from Record suggests that Brighton are now in talks with Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos.
They believe that Benfica want £35m for the young attacker, who has already scored eight goals in all competitions this season.
The 21-year-old was linked with Newcastle in the summer, but the move never materialised.
Newcastle instead opted to sign Alexander Isak, although the young Swede has struggled with injuries since his arrival.
Brighton in talks with Newcastle target Ramos
The south coast is an attractive destination for players right now after Brighton’s start to the season.
Despite manager Graham Potter being poached by Chelsea, Roberto De Zerbi has picked up where he left off.
The Seagulls currently find themselves in the top six, and will be aiming to compete in the Europe for the first time ever next season.
A move for Ramos from Brighton could help Newcastle secure another transfer target.
Howe’s side have been linked with Leandro Trossard, with his contract running out soon.

Given Wilson and Isak’s injury woes, a fit and firing Ramos would be a great addition to the squad.
Ramos has had to fill the hole left in Benfica’s squad left by Darwin Nunez moving to Liverpool.
So far, Ramos has done a fantastic job, and it’s no surprise Brighton are now in talks with Benfica.
The 21-year-old is incredibly hard working and links up well with his teammates.
Newcastle will have to decide quickly if they want to match Brighton’s interest, or focus on new targets.
