Report: Paratici met with Spurs target Udogie's representatives
Tottenham Hotspur director Fabio Paratici has now met with Destiny Udogie’s representatives as Spurs look to bring the 19-year-old to the Premier League, according to Sky Sports.
Tottenham have already bolstered their ranks on the left flank in this window. Ivan Perisic has arrived on a free transfer following a successful spell with Inter Milan.
But it would appear that Antonio Conte may have other plans for Perisic. Reports on the weekend claimed that Tottenham are the side most likely to sign Pervis Estupinan from Villarreal.
And Estupinan is not the only left-back Spurs are working on. It was recently suggested that they are also keen on Udogie.
And the ball is now rolling. Sky Sports notes that Paratici has now met with his representatives. They are currently in London.
The report does suggest that Spurs may look to loan him out immediately should they manage to agree a deal for the teenager.
Paratici met with Udogie’s representatives
Udogie looks to have the potential to be absolutely perfect for Conte’s system. He predominantly played as a wing-back for Udinese this past season.
And he went on to score five goals in the top-flight. In fact, only three players found the back of the net more often for his side. One of those was actually right wing-back Nahuel Molina.
Udogie looks to be a player who is comfortable at either end of the pitch, depending on what the game requires. And interestingly, FB Ref lists Sergio Reguilon as one of the players who are similar to the youngster.
Perhaps that may alarm Tottenham fans given the speculation surrounding Reguilon. But it definitely does appear that Udogie has a very bright future ahead.
And Paratici has already started work on a deal for Spurs this summer.
