Report: Tottenham considering offer for under-21 international star, could push Reguilon out
Tottenham are considering making a move for Verona starlet, Destiny Udogie, as they continue to scour the market for new signings this summer.
Fabio Paratici is working desperately hard to bring new players in for Tottenham. The club have already signed Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster to strengthen the ranks, but more are expected to join in the coming weeks. And according to Di Marzio, Udogie is a player Spurs admire.
Udogie, who is still only 19, has spent the season on loan with Udinese and done well, featuring 35 times in Serie A playing predominantly as a flying left-back.
Naturally, his good form has attracted glances from some of the bigger clubs in Europe and Di Marzio claims that while no bid is in yet from Spurs, Udogie is a player they admire. The teenager is already on the radar in Italy and has caps at under-21 level for his country.
TBR’s View: Udogie Would Be Bad News For Sergio Reguilon At Tottenham
There seems to be a sense that Reguilon is fighting for his future at Tottenham. He’s been mentioned more than one in regards to being a player who Conte could sell, and interest in Udogie is another worry for him.
With Ryan Sessegnon in Conte’s favour and the signing of Perisic, another left-sided player like Udogie would surely signal the end for the Spanish left-back.
Of course, there is a long way to go with this one and Spurs’ interest is just that at the moment, with nothing further to it. But change is coming for Tottenham under Conte, and it’s clear he won’t be frightened to move players on, regardless of status.
